I did not find the person I was seeking. Will I still be billed? Top Of Page
Our web site gives you the ability to purchase a search pass that allows you to run an unlimited number of basic searches for a certain period of time. When you create this search pass, you are billed for unlimited access to the databases, not for individual searches. Your paid search pass price excludes Advance Background Reports. If you order an Advance Background Report and we are not able to complete the report, you are not charged for that single report.
What is your refund policy? Top Of Page
We are not able to offer refunds, but we value your business and want to ensure your complete satisfaction. If the report you ordered did not contain any results, we may provide you with another search at no additional cost. Please contact our Customer Care Team within 15 days of the original purchase for assistance.

What is an Advanced Background Report?Top Of Page
An Advanced Background Report is a single comprehensive report that can be run on virtually any individual found in our database. When you run a name, address, or phone search, click one of the returned names to view the details for that person. An Advanced Backround Report searches over 10 billion records and automatically cross references the results to return a single easy-to-read document.
I looked up a name and the address was out of date. Why is that?Top Of Page
Our database contains over 10 billion records. When you consider there are approximately 290 million people in the United States, this means there are about 34 records for every person. Records are never deleted from our database and are continually added. Every time an individual moves and a new address is reported, it is added to the database. The old address remains in the database as well. We have records dating back to the early 1980's, which equates to a nearly 30-year address history for some individuals. When you receive your results, be aware that you may receive more than one historical record for your individual.
I looked up myself and found an old address. Why is that?Top Of Page
We provide records dating back from the early 1980's to the present. The database contains long address histories on some individuals, which may be why an old address is showing up in your search results. Your current address is most likely in the database, but not being returned in your result set.
I want to locate an old friend. Will your web site run searches for me?Top Of Page
PublicRecordsNow is the most powerful, automated, self-service, public record retrieval system on the web. Our system is self-serve, and we don't currently have support staff available that will run searches for you.

Social security numbers are considered "personal identifiers" and are not contained in our database results or query screens (excluding death searches).
How do I contact my search subject once I've found them?Top Of Page
PublicRecordsNow is great tool for locating lost friends and classmates but does not give our users the ability to directly contact individuals listed in the database. We encourage you to contact an individual found in the database by using standard mail or a phone number, both of which we can provide.
How do I find somebody by their maiden name?Top Of Page
Finding a woman using only her maiden name can be difficult. We recommend performing a name search using her maiden name to uncover her previous addresses. Performing an address search on each previous address will generate a list of individuals who have resided at the addresses over the years. This list may include your search subject with her married name. Once you find her married name, perform a name search using that name to uncover her most current address. Another alternative is to run a comprehensive background check after locating your subject in our database by clicking on a name in the results.
How can I find an e-mail address I'm looking for?Top Of Page
Our database does not currently contain e-mail addresses.
